Un loco verano. Christadam left my apartment cuz we finished our bathroom (it looks beautiful) and all of the other jobs fell through... and i guess cuz it was kinda stressful all of us living in that small apartment. So i went down to Louisville for about a week, hung out with some really cool people, listened to lots of live music, made a kite out of a garbage bag that actually flew, and had a mostly unproductive meeting with the cohousing folks. I have been spending lots of time on the telephone with bureaucrats and developers lately, trying to get things figured out for this cohousing development. It's gonna be like pulling teeth. From Louisville, i flew to Philly. I walked around that damn city for awhile. I was excited about seeing the new constitution center downtown, but the first thing that happens when you walk in the door there is two burly men in suits confront you and announce that your bags will have to be searched. The irony was too thick to tolerate, so i left. From Philly, i took the train to my folks' house in Jersey. Today i went to NYC to see the Mets beat the Cubs 1-0 in the 10th inning: possibly the most boring baseball game i have ever seen. Saturday, i am travelling down to South Jersey to see my friend in prison. Next week, i fly to Chicago to attend Adam's mom's family reunion. (hahaa. Not a joke actually) Then home to Urbana. Then to Seattle (maybe) then to Utah (maybe) then home. Then back to Louisville. Then back home. Then school starts.
Rachel, Emily is coming to visit me in the beginning of September. You two should talk and come visit me on the same day. Or, Emily and you and i could convene on Jordan's house in Gburg on the same day. And anyone else reading this... even if you found this blog by hitting the "find me a random blog" button... you should come visit me too. I hope life finds you all well.
