Emily says:
alrighty, i can tell them where most of us are. here are the room #s, etc:
as you come up the stairs, there are rooms to your direct left and right, and to the left & right in front of you. Brenna & Rachel have the one to the direct left (A-21). Christina & i have the one in front and to the left (A-22). i think Sam & Zach are next to us (that is, to the front and left: A-23) and then Carrie & Connie are directly to the right (A-24).
as you come downstairs, there's the single on the left (this Keith person will be there- anyone know him??). there are two other rooms in front of you. the one on the right is Drew & Morgan's (A-12) and the one to the left is Pete & Adam's (A-13).
does all this make sense? i'll go ahead & email to let in-charge people know where we all are. Sam, Zach, Carrie, or Connie, you should email the in-charge person if i mixed you guys up.
i'm going home on Sunday until the 28th. if for some crazy reason someone needs to call me, the #s to try are 616-676-2048 (dad's) or 616-897-5509 (mom's).
who is going to tell them what rooms we decided?
does anyone even know what numbers the rooms are?
i can't remember where we all were. who has the sheet?
if you don't know what i am talking about check your e-mail.

has anyone ever seen the television show "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy?" I watched it last night. The first time i watched television besides the sunday morning political shows and a couple of mets games in a long, long time. Anyway, every show, these five gay guys pick one dirty, smelly , manly straight guy each episode and give his life a "gay makeover." Hair, house, diet, clothing, everything. These five guys are the most ridiculous stereotypes i have ever seen. They kept hitting on the straight guy and trying to put thier hands in his pants. I could not stop laughing. I was practically rolling on the floor. It's gotta be the funniest t.v. show i have ever seen. Christina, as much as i hate to say it... we aren't coming to visit this summer. I may be working the rest of the summer without getting paid. So for the sake of saving money, saving wear on Derrick who has to last me at least two more years, and for the sake of my friends here in Jersey who want to meet Emily, Emily is going to fly or train it over to NJ, stay here for a week and hang out, and then we will take a slower, shorter, cheaper, more relaxed, less rushed road trip back to Knox. I also will spend the entire school year convincing Adam to come with us on a road trip out there next year or selling both of you on the idea of a huge, grand finale, tour of America road trip after graduation. But that's still a long way off. Now i am going to leave. I am heading up to Binghamton NY to visit my cousins and take a class dealing with community planning and kool stuff like that.

wooo fp coleader!!!!!! i have done so much stuff this weekend. on friday there was the pool partay and i skipped work beforehand so i could buy jon a present. David and i ended up splitting the cost of a 128mb flash drive which david put a bunch of music on so jon could listen to it. then we swam and Jon's sister is dating the pool manager who happens to also be named jon and he let us stay an hour after the pool was actually closed and he let us go down the waterslide as many "illegal" ways as we wanted to, as long as we promised not to sue if we got hurt. we did all sorts of chains and battles and the like. it was awesome. i got kneed in the face but i didn't start bleeding so i was fine. my new swimsuit is working out well. i think i look pretty cute in purple. then we went to jon's house and had cake. i wrapped jon's flash drive in one million layers and then hid it in his pants pocket so he didn't find it until later. it was cool when it took him so long to open the package. he was excited about his gift though. we had some grilled food and then sat around the fire. someone threw a couple of those flashbulb type fireworks into the fire and blinded us all. then we all went home i guess. the next morning i got dressed and helped serve coffee and punch and cookies and the like at a memorial service for someone i have never met. apparently it is the mother of my grandparents eye doctor. i baisically carried stuff up and down stairs for two hours. it was weird seeing a casket. i don't think i have actually ever seen one up close. then i went home and my mom and brother and sister and i went to a movie. League of extraordinary gentlemen. it gave me a headache. oh well. then my mom and sister and i went out for indian food. it was awesome. after dinner i headed over to david's house and on the way saw a moon that was so beautifull it made me cry a little. i was laughing and i felt great. i went down to the water and took a few pictures. unfortunately i don't know how they will look considering i didn't have a tripod. i have since borrowed one from david's mom but i didn't have one at the time. then david and i went and sto.... borrowed a boat and went into the sound. we rowed out to a bouy and climbed up on top only to be scared shitless by a pigeon. i almost fell off. i rowed back and almost got blisters but not quite. that boat was damn heavy for just me and david to carry to the water. it was kinda a pain but totally worth it. then we went to the point white dock and threw rocks off to try and see the phospherescence. unfortunately there really wasn't that much so we went back to his place and watched a movie. Equilibrium. it was really cool. the main guy is totally hardcore. he kept breaking people's arms and hands. plus emily watson was really cute in it. (david replaced cute with hot but whatever) i got home around four in the morning. it was a full day. kinda weird and eclectic but cool. then on sunday i went to my drum lesson, which was AWESOME. Kevin Hart is just a schmuck who pretends to teach the drums. Korum actually teaches me usefull things. it made me excited about the drums again. YAYAYAYAY!!! then i went and picked up david and then we picked up jon and we all went to bainbridge Gardens to try and pick up some buckwheat hulls. Buckwheat hulls are this substance that is just fun. it makes you want to take a bath in it... only it would be a little sharp. anyway they didn't have it there so we went to central market and got it and then went to adam's b-day partay. we hung at the party which was actually a joint party for him and his brother for awhile but then we went to his pond and played with his paddle boat. we ended up not being able to steer because of all the reeds and whatnot that were caught in the paddle. i am sure that it didn't help that we had five people in the freaking boat. and then we went to the pont white dock again and saw some jellyfish. then we all went to the abandoned resevoir and some people were painting things on the walls. i just sat and enjoyed the sky and the moon which was again orgasmic. then i went home. so baiscially i had an awesome weekend. AND a bunch of us are going to wild waves on thursday so that is going to be awesome. i have been having a good summer. the only thing that would make it better is if i had more friends to hang with namely you guys. so you should come visit. and zach, did you send the CD?
holy shit i'm using another computer to look at Blogger and it's COMPLETELY messed up. wow. Adam, worry not about the cooking stuff. Mom brought me pans & things when they came to visit, so i'm all set up. here's some of my research news so far: girls don't know anything about Iraq. the people with the strong opinions about the war were the ones who did most of the demonstrating (surprise). people with family in the army tended to support the war more. girls were more active than guys (demonstrations as well as volunteering). the more anti- war someone was, the more likely it was that they disagreed with parents but agreed with friends. active people talk in class. 1/4 of the people who most strongly supported the war thought there were no political parties in Iraq. aaaand, my most important result: groups of friends are THE biggest factor in how active someone is. especially if they talk a lot ;-) miss you guys!
ummm, I haven't learned how to make anything yet.... hmmm.. but I will! So, my brother told me the other day that our band has a gig somewhere, so we practiced yesterday, and we quit early because we were sucking so bad. But the good thing is that we have a few original songs that are pretty much done, but our bassist needs to learn how to play all of our songs, a problem indeed. We should have around 4 or 5 songs that we wrote completed shortly though. So yeah for us. oh geez! I completely forgot! I'm so sorry Emily that I haven't sent those dishes for you. Wow, I suck.....
