hey adam, i know what you mean about work sucking up all of your free time. i started working at Iowa Book & Supply (a store right at the center of the Iowa campus that stocks a ton of textbooks ... they're the non-university-owned bookstore that students go to) on monday, 40 hours a week, and i have absolutely NO time to myself anymore. i've realized that i spend almost 12 hours a day most days either at, in route to/from, or in preparation for work. yikes. on the good side, most everyone that i work with or for is wonderfully pleasant, several are quite funny, and all provide at least decent conversation. when i'm working in the back on shipping/receiving books, we even listen to nonstop wsui (the university station), which broadcasts NPR for a good portion of the day. of course, it also involved almost constant lifting and moving books (i swear, it's the most inefficient process i've seen), and it's left me with various bruises on my arms from the incredibly heavy math, science, and business textbooks. and soon i'll have to deal with the rush of students coming to buy books! oh joy. heh. oh well, it's a job, and it's not really that bad.

Found out silverfox was not Ari, so scratch that last request. I look forward to speaking and seeing you all again in person and I hope you will be able to tolerate this pompus windbag for the duration of next year. I'll try not stick my foot in my mouth all of the time, I promise. Emliy Bell and Emily Myers rock, all hale the queens of townhouse A! If ever these two or any from our townhouse A have problems with thugs on or off campus. I will make it my personal mission to kick some major ass until all is safe again. KEEEEYAAAAH! Well, a guy can dream can't he?

I can't wait to get away from my mind-numbing job and back among my friends. I must say that I enjoy arguing in person rather than over the email, mostly because I don't sound like a complete ass when I do the former.

I can remember countless facts about the Supreme Court, but for the life of me I can't recall simple stuff like internet handles and email addressess. Does anybody know Ari's email address? I got this message from silverfox and I think its her.

My dad scored free tickets to see Bob Dylan and the Dead at Route 66 on Saturday and I'm going with him(finally his gambling habit is paying off for me too). Joan Osborne is singing with'em too.
Yeah, I know there a bunch of aging rockers(with maybe the exception of Joan Osborne), but I'm still stoked.

Hello everybody. My band played this last weekend at a local show and basically everybody there said we kicked ass more than anybody else which is cool... it's weird though. THe other bands that played seemed to adhere to the belief that turning up the value on the guitar means music... and chicks. That's pretty disgusting. My band got all sorts of compliments for something as simple as being able to hear the lyrics of our songs! oh by the way we have composed 4 and are working on more. wheeee! yay.... this is so cool! oh and one of Chris' ( my brother) friends said that I had a reputation as being one of teh best rock singers in the area .... hehheee.. self-esteem booster. What sucks is that I had to turn down an offer to play a show this weekend, but what's better is that Christina will be in Michigan on the beach with me instead. :) I hope everybody's having a good summer. I'm sorry I haven't written you back Pete. Target and music have been eating much of my time, especially Target since I've been working about 40 hours a week now. ughhh.... well so long everybody...
