Wow. Andy's pictures are amazing. Did any of you guys get awakened by the sirens and go over to check things out, or did you just hear about it in the morning? It wasn't clear from the newspaper articles: was the building completely abandoned? Was anyone hurt or killed apart from that one guy they can't find? Poor Galesburg. Just what it needed.

...

I see Drew. You "sliced them yourself." A roll of Pillsbury cookie dough. I hereby reaffirm your manhood and your Republicanism.

Oh they are of my own creation. I sliced them and baked them myself, and I am still a real man as well as a real Republican. So enjoy my cookies.

Drew, the cookies are delicious! Did you really make these? I don't believe that a Republican man can bake like this. Cook steaks, maybe... but baking cookies is a whole other story. Either you did not really make these, you aren't really a Republican, or you aren't really a man. Which one is is Drew?

(thanks for the cookies Drew. MMMM i'm gonna go have another now.)

Thank the good Lord I was there to usher the poor thing into the next world, or else you hippies might have left him to suffer! Just kidding, I am quite grateful for your recognition of my tire iron swinging talents. May you enjoy the cookies I have sent you and remember to blog or email me when they arrive.

Ladies and gentlemen, i turn your attention to Page 29 of the Knox annual report that you all probably have been sent in the mail. The "gifts in honor of" section lists Drew C. Parsons. I just want you all to know that i donated that $10 in honor of Drew's heroism in the face of death when he "said the final rites" for our half-dead squirrel friend on the front lawn of the P-House. Way to go Drew. No one can swing a tire-iron like you. Cheers.

The cookies are baking as I write this, Pete and Emily, I hope you like chocolate chip. I did it! The first term grades are back and I passed with flying colors! In civil procedure A-, criminal law B+, torts B, and contracts C+. I got a 2.9 g.p.a. going now and I don't have to repeat any courses (which is always a plus :)) I am so relieved. One more term to go and I'll have a whole year under my belt. I am still running, just every other day. I even found time to read for fun again. First I took down Bram Stoker's Dracula, now I'm on to Ivanhoe. Life is good. I hope it is the same for all of you and I wish you all the best.
