Things are going fabulously here. I bought a bike from someone who was moving out of her apartment, so now I can get around that way. I plan on lots of biking around here, assuming I can do it without getting run over by the insane drivers. I biked about 4.5 miles while Matt ran ... I'm giving up the running for now, as it just doesn't appeal to me as much as biking. I'm also keeping in shape for dance stuff, and in about a month I'll be auditioning for a modern dance company here. I don't really expect to make the cut, but it'll be a fun experience regardless. I sent them my resume (weeeeird) and they sound excited to have me come audition. And just over two weeks until orientation.

I ran around doing all kinds of errands today, so I'll probably try to sit myself down somewhere to write you guys tomorrow. Keep your spirits up and enjoy all the new experiences. I'm finally getting somewhere with all of mine, and there will only be more in the days to come. I miss you all.

Well, I didn't get the job in WA. One of those "it was a tough decision, but we went with another candidate" emails. Ugh, just got to keep plugging. My life sometimes feels like a series of rejections, one after the other, but that's just me being dramatic...it's stupid to feel that way. Somewhere down deep I believe in myself, but right now I want to be frustrated.
Aside from working the liquor dept at Shop n Save everyday, I'm trying to regularly get high on endorphins--running religiously, lifting a bit, playing in a bball league at the Y--so at least I have my health. I've finally disposed of that cute beer gut developed the last few weeks before graduation. If I had more money and/or more friends, I'd most definitely be attending concerts around St. Lu. Blueberry Hill has some cool upcoming shows including Chuck Berry next week.
I can now play guitar chords like a madman...a madman with pudgy fingers. The tips of my fingers are bloated for some reason, and I have trouble clamping onto the string of choice. Our dog is an adorable idiot who keeps my spirits up. I went country line dancing the other night with a friend. Mostly though I just read and watch television after work: Cardinal games, U.S. Open coverage, and news on the desperate situation in New Orleans. Wish I could do more to help than donate money.
Anyway, I need to stop being lazy and write a few of you. Hope all is well.
