I agree, Drew. Alexander was a waste of three hours. What was Stone thinking?
Anyway, i am having a rather busy break so far. I have made furniture building my full-time job. I am nearing completion of a rocking chair that i will attempt to sell on ebay for a profit. Having a business is really fun. Even doing the accounting is kinda fun when its your own business. I can work in five minute increments from 7 in the morning untill midnight and not have to worry about what to put on a timecard. I just hope i get some bids, otherwise im down a big chunk of change.
My other time-consuming activity has been visiting grad skools. University of Michigan rocks. Cornell rocks. I tried to visit SUNY Buffalo, but Derrick slid off the highway into a ditch in a snowstorm en route. (i was not hurt and Derrick sustained only minor injuries.) Then they closed the highway because two tractor trailers flipped over. The Buffalo radio stations called this a "dusting" of snow. Friggin' Buffalo. This week, i head down to University of Maryland. And i should really start filling out actual applications now, shouldn't i?

Peace be unto all of you, even Drew, even though he doesn't want it.

I wish i could go to iowa and have new years with you rachel and everyone else from knox. I also wish I could be here so i can see the celtic and rangers vs aberdeen football games, they are the only two teams ahead of us in the league right now. I wish I could go visit vicky for new years as well. also i need to be with my family since my grandpa just died. my friends at home are people i also need to see. i wish i could be everywhere at once sometimes. i feel like i miss everyone from everywhere.

My brother is going to college in vermont as of the 20th of january. this is good on two levels, one, he is out of the house, two, it gives me a reason to ask my parents for travel money to vermont. sweet.

i have to go to class soon. all you knox people are lucky. i only get a break from the 18th dec-2nd jan. short time. oh man. off to class.
peace
Christina

Woo, I'm finally feeling recovered from a whirlwind of sorts. I finished the Mellon fellowship application last night, and it was like having something huge lifted off my back. I just can't wait for all the applications to be done! ;)
I don't know about you guys, but this cold weather seems especially cold right now. Perhaps because a few days ago I was basking in temperatures a good 60 degrees higher than they are right now? That must be it. I hope everyone had as much fun over Thanksgiving.
Don't anyone go disappearing over break, or I will be mighty disappointed. In fact, if anyone feels like appearing at my house over break, I will invite you in! Which reminds me ... does anyone have New Year's Eve plans? or a desire to come to Iowa to celebrate it? Just an idea ...

Everyone is enjoying their break I trust. I am having a good time watching movies, reading books, and playing video games. I just saw the movie Alexander and it was pitiful to say the least. That Oliver Stone did good work with movies like JFK and Platoon, but he needs to leave the epics alone. Don't waste three hours of your life by seeing it. To our ladies abroad I send my warmest greetings and wishes for a safe trip home. To you all I say happy holidays.
