Yeah, i got my suitcase back. Just had to ride into Newark and pick it up. Was very grateful. New Jersey Transit rocks. Probably the only thing vaguely affiliated with NJ government that doesn't suck royally.
Fun fact: In developer's lingo, those big, backlit flourescent signs on commercial strip highways--you know, the McDonalds arches, Wal-Mart signs, etc-- are referred to as "litter on a stick."

It's been a while since I actually contributed in any meaningful way to this forum, though I read it consistently. Since I am presently in limbo between the school madness like so many of you, I thought I had no choice but to answer Pete's rallying cry. I am currently house and cat sitting for one of my friends while she is off running around europe(naturally I'm quite jealous). However, in some ways I'm glad I'm here for the next few weeks free of any anxiety provoking stimuli. I've read 4 books in the last week and have seen more movies than I can count. I have also been engrossing myself in new music. I got about 25 cd's from a friend of excellent bands I have never heard before. I suggest everyone try it. It's a bit overwhelming a first but well worth it. I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well in their own way. I'm really looking forward to what's going to happen for everyone in the coming year.
Oh, last week I was in Chicago for a few days and it was drop dead freezing, something like -10. However, since I've been back in Colorado Springs it's been in the 60's and sunny every day. A nice holiday season indeed.
Merry Chanukah,
Happy Christmas,
&
Freaking Awesome New Year
to all.

I am typing this on my brand new apple i-book that I recieved from "santa." If anyone was checking the five or six day forecast for Bainbridge they would probably laugh. it is Rain Rain Rain Rain Rain and Rain. each day not above 55 or below 43 so I guess it's a very typical winter here. Maybe next month there will be an inch of snow and then they can cancell school and freak out and stay in their houses for the day. ah silly northwesterners...
Pete, did you get your suitcase back? are you wearing underwear? maybe you can borrow your brother's? HA!
Anyway I did something stupid and agreed to go to the gym with my mom tomorrow morning at 6:45 so I guess I should get into bed so I don't wake up dead in the morning. Goodnight and happy holidays!

My Dad's secretary sent an article over the email, but my Dad deleted it. Sorry about that, Rachel. I must admit that no matter which one of us is right, this is a very strange case. Don't you agree? Did everyone have a good Christmas? I sure did, relaxing with my family and getting some pretty nice gifts. I got a brand new suit which is good because I have a mock trial to do next semester. Take care and good luck Emily. I support what you and Lindsey are doing, but like all paranoid people who care about their friends I urge you to show caution at all times around your mountain guests. Happy New Year everybody.
