Well, I enjoy reading about how everyone's lives are evolving, in some cases for the better and in other cases not so much. I recently resigned my position at the Teton Valley News citing irreconciliable differences with my stuck up feminist nazi editor. Her name is Jeanette Boner if that tells you anything. She just peeved me off one too many times, and I am not easily perturbed. At least I used to think patience was one of my few virtues.
A few days after I resigned, my little red matchbox car died. So, I flew home to the lou and ended up purchasing a six-year old Honda CR-V, which I believe will suit my purposes well. On my way back to Idaho, I interviewed for another reporter position in Salida, CO. Salida is right on the Arkansas River, a few miles from the Royal Gorge and arguably the fishing, rafting and kayaking capital of Colorado. It went well and all, so we'll see. I'll find out in a few days.
If that doesn't work out, I'm considering moving down I-15 to St. George to work with the "diabolical" Lindsay and Emily. I'm still not certain if Linz wants me to come work at Redcliff because she'd actually like to see me on a more regular basis or if the couple hundred dollar bonus for recruiting a studly guy like me is the driving force... In the meantime, I am enthusiastically delivering gourmet pizzas to the rich scum living here in Teton Valley.
I've been seeing a girl here and there the past five weeks--Melissa, an intern at High Peaks Physical Therapy. She's cute and sweet, kind of short and somewhat prissy, but overall she has been a good friend since I arrived back in September. Her internship ends next week and she's going to jump ship and head back to Blackfoot to pursue other employment. Either way, I've had a good time hanging out with her. I had her over for dinner a bunch, we cuddled and watched movies, and she even slept over!!...but that's pretty much the extent of it. In and out of my life as usual.
Anyway, I hope a change in scenery will lead to a kind of productivity in my writing, and maybe I will finally finish something I've started. We'll see, right?
Loves, Ben-jamin
