Today we tried to go to this hands on museum called the satrosphere. not stratosphere. it turned out that there were too many kids there and we thought we would feel bad for fighting them to use the fun sciency stuff so we decided to go downtown and wander around. i'll go back when the kiddies are in class. we ended up going to the maritime museum and it was pretty awesome. we saw sooooo many models of ships and movies about ships and well a whole lot about fishing and ships and the oil drilling. oil is huge here. also apparently by the docks at night it turns into a red light district. i'm not to go there. supersize me came out and i'm going to see it this week i think... maybe. i still haven't decided. i will go to the beach tomorrow if it isn't raining. maybe i'll go even if it is raining. adam have you been able to get through to scotland ever? 011 44 870 0509777 then 5908. my mom said that this worked for her.
my flatmates are not nearly as cool as you guys. i miss my big huge family at knox. i just haven't found people that i'm real comfortable to be around here. I've always had luck in the physics dept. maybe i'll have luck here too.

Today we went to this thing called the freshers fayre where people shove pamphlets for bars and pubs and clubs in your face and it's really crowded but there is a lot of free stuff and coupons and things. I want to join the mountainbiking club but I couldn't find the table so i couldn't sign up. We had stir fry last night and I think we will for the next three or four nights because we have A TON of veggies. I am also going to call Aron today and try to hook up with him. he went to my high school and is going to aberdeen for four years and has been here so i figure i can get tips from him. last night two really drunk irish guys came over and we played cards with them, they stole some glasses from the pub in the complex and then left them in our flat so we have three more glasses, which is nice...even though they're stolen. Classes start on monday and my physics class is at 9am whoosh... there goes my brain in the morening. I miss you all and I hope you don't die. really.... don't die...
