Hello everyone. Long time no post.
Ben I'm sorry we didn't get down to st. Louis before you ran away to a far away land. With adam having doctor's apts. and me having the GRE on saturday there was just not a free weekend. speaking of the GRE I feel like I lost my soul. I haven't gotten my official scores but from what I remember I did very well on the verbal and then I shitted it up on the math. which means I will most likely have to freaking take it again. i mean It was REALLY bad on the math. i was shocked. anyhow i get to lose a little bit more of my soul to standarized testing. maybe I should just go to school for creative writing.

Mitch GOt a BUnnY! so we are building a hutch in the backyard so he can live outside. His name is gatsby and he is white with brown. soft as anything. awww... ( :

Adam's brother Chris got a job at cornucopia so we get 15 percent off of our groceries! sweeet.

Adam is working too hard. I guess that's not really new news is it... hm... The hoot hoots recorded part of another song last night so that brings us to one song that needs vocals and one song that needs vocals harmonica and tambourine. it's shaping up.

I asked to be in a jazz combo but who knows if they will want me to be. I am going to go home and do my homework for physics and then practice the drums. it should be wonderfull. ( : I love having drums in the basement.

that's all the big news I think. sorry about the short paragraphs. I'm not really sure why I did that. maybe to confuse everyone. Goodbye for now people who are everywhere.

Woah! I have spent the last three days at a killer bluegrass festival in Winfield, Kansas. My cousins live in Winfield. I've wanted to come to the Walnut Valley Festival for years. Pickers and fiddlers are here from all over the world. I've never been overly fond of honkeytonk twangy music, but this weekend has been great fun. I partied with thousands of random country bumpkins who set up camp at the Fairgrounds weeks ago. A world famous guitarist from Australia, Tommy Emmanuel, he's probably the most talented guy here, along with his buddy, acoustic and harp guitar specialist Steven Bennett. Tommy does this incredible reverb piece called Initiation, dedicated to the Australian Aborigines, and I'm telling ya, the guy just kills his sets, he's a miracle-man with the guitar. Other favs include The Wilders out of Kansas City (the most visual group I've ever seen, dead-ringers for those old-school one-mic radio bands), The David Munnelly Band from Ireland, The Greencards who are out of the UK somewhere, Julie Lee (she's been opening around the country for Alison Krauss, Tom Chapin (ever heard of Harry Chapin?), and John McCutcheon, who is just a fixture here, and I appreciate for his songwriting, humor, and politics. Anyway, if you're interested in learning more about bluegrass, get plugged in to a few of these guys. Next time I write I will be in Idaho. Scary.
Btw, I had nine unidentified missed calls on my cell phone the last couple days. Left it in my bag all weekend. Any of you trying to get in touch with me? Emily, I will call you tomorrow and explain why I had to back out of Keith's job last-minute. I feel bad about it--he seems like such a warm and unpretentious guy. I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to write and work in the Tetons. It just sort of fell in my lap. Anyways, much love to all of you.
