I passed all my classes! Oh, frabuous day kaloo kalay! I am now officially what they call a 2L (second year law student). Hopefully I will soon begin to work at a local private firm which specializes in litigation. Yesiree, that year was tough, and I'm not exactly high up in the rankings. However, I am proud to have stuck it out this long and I look forward to taking on and whipping the next two years. I have somewhat a B- or a C+ average. My class was very competitive and smart. I will have to rely on my deviousness to survive, bwhahahahaha! I hope everyone is well.

So, I spent all last week at MDA Summer Camp working with some incredible kids. I was cabin unit leader for the first time this year, and that presented some new challenges, but overall, I just feel really renewed after a week of helping other people. Many of the campers I work with will not live to be as old as I am now. They are so courageous, you know, and I am reminded that my "problems" (i.e. say someone you considered a close friend suddenly decides to shut off all channels of communication) no matter how difficult they might seem at first, are really fairly unimportant and certainly able to overcome. I was reminded that while planning for the future is necessary, finding joy in every moment is really what living should be all about.
After MDA Camp, Scoop and I met my dad, brother and some cousins at Round Springs in the Ozarks for a weekend on the Current River. One of the more notable highlights came when I pulled an initially unidentified object from my dog's mouth and realized I was holding a used and very bloody tampon. Eeewwww!!!
In other less disgusting news, I have accepted a position starting Sept. 1 with AmeriCorps Cape Cod, which means the plan is now to work in St. Louis the rest of the summer. I'm happy with the prospect of living and working with 20 other people my age interested in conservation.
