alright, so here's the scoop. ummm.... the townhouse does not come with a microwave. that's a lie. but i have a m-wave, and i know so do other people, so that's not so bad.
Pete, i know you were worried about the AC, and Drew sounded like he rather wanted the air. i may have found a solution. there are air ducts in each room, and i got chilly a while back. i tried changing the temp for the AC, but i don't know how to do it. also, even if i did, i think Jackie, my roommate, would just as soon have it cooler in here. so, what i did was i cut a rectangle out of a garbage bag and taped it all the way around where the air was coming out. it's working beautifully. and, if later in the summer, i discover that i can't take the heat, i can do one of two things: open my door wide, or just untape the bag. please, anyone who knows of horrendous results of doing something like this, let me know. i dunno, seems safe enough to me :)
two couches are going to fit in the living room at most, i think. that means someone gets one for their room. i already have one, and i don't think i want another. any takers?
i have the bottom-floor room that faces west (the street) is this Pete & Adam's or Drew & Morgan's? i kinda think it's P&A's? no one's living upstairs so far except for Abimbola, who is directly above me. i don't think she'll even be around much, so it's looking like no one is in danger of having a wrecked room when school starts again.
the light is terrific in the evening in this room. it receives the setting sun, and it just makes the room glow. it's lovely. however #1: room lights absolutely suck. they're devil lights, and verrrry flickery. Adam, i just may forgive you for leaving me with all your stuff to haul since you left this lamp, too. it lights the whole room, and i don't need to touch the devil light. however #2: being on the ground level along the street is not fun at night. there are loud, nearby car noises, and the honk way more than i personally prefer at 12 at night. grrr.
we don't have access to the Compass Room. i tried. i asked around. no luck. there are no tables in the room with the stove & laundry. grrr.
....lucky for me, Jackie is a Pi Phi, and it looks like we're going to do our cooking and eating in their bungalow. very nice :)
any other questions? did i miss anything? let me know.

after an all-damn-day process, i'm moved in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.... and exhausted. i need a shower and my bed. as soon as i make it. more news on our future home as soon as i recover from moving two and a half couches and all the rest of my worldly possessions.

i am not worried about it i am just annoyed. apparently someone is getting married today. is that weird? would anyone here get married on friday the 13th. i think that it would be tempting the fates just a little too much. some lady at the store said that she went to a wedding once on halloween and the bride wore black. it makes me laugh.

Drew, you totally missed the point. I am not arguing that way because i've "gone commie" or because i've learned to love hillary. Im arguing that way because i, for one, do not pretend to know everything, so arguing on both sides of certain questions i do not know the answers to (such as, should there be a tax on unhealthy foods as the state of New York is proposing) helps me see which side has the more sensible arguments.
Christina, Kevin just gives out grades randomly, i'm sure. He can't even remember what lessons he gave us to do the week before, so i don't see how he can monitor our progress. He never writes things down either. Don't worry about it. A "B" is fine.

hello, I am now in the square called Clifton, I've spent a week here, and I'm not really unhappy surprisingly. Actually, I've done something cool pretty much everyday. Today I'm going to see the X-men movie with my brothers and my cousin Michael (who for all intents and purposes should just be called my brother) and James and Jonathan have come over a whole bunch of times to jam..... but mostly to learn our new songs for the battle of the bands. We're gonna play the Leader of the Pack (which is taking the form of a rock opera with punked out sections and cheesy 60's rock interludes), Run Around Sue, and She's Not There, all excellent tunes. Man I can't believe Kevin Hart gave you a B. You should stick a drun stick right up his late asshole. I've been excersizing everyday, I've cleaned the cutters, and I've procrastinated an essay that I need to write to keep my scholarship (but I have 7 pages now). Any way, Michael and I are going to go do somethign in the rain now... nothing sexual, don't be gross. Perhaps home run derby or football... bye

psha drew. i am sure he had a reason. i just don't know what it is. it is annoying though. i am not going to be able to visit for about a week zach because i am houseitting until the 23rd but i want to come after that. how's that sound. i hope everyone's summer is going splendid. i hope carrie is doing well in wall. later all.

Pete, fight the commie conditioning, man! I know you can do it. Just keep thinking social security and all those idiot pencil pushers shuffling chunks of your pay checks off to finance yet another failure born from the minds of wack jobs like Hillary-Billary aka Hillary Clinton. Christina, congrats on your A- in physics. Don't worry about the late professor, he's probably spent too much time in the ivory tower and forgotten how to recognize and reward hard work. Instead, this music fella probably only rewards what he deems to be "artistic gift" which is translation for you bowing to his ideas about music. Of course this is totally bullshit. I know you're talented and that you work hard. You keep swinging, tiger!

He Stan, my number here is 503-525-7873 so give me a call if you're coming through any time soon. All is well and I'll be deliverying pizza to the world very shortly...I believe I will go in search of a sasquatch this evening, wish me luck!

good news and bad news. I got an A- in physics. he must have crazy curved those tests. bad news i got a B in drum lessons. it kinda pisses me off. last term i worked just as hard and i got an A. this term for some screwed up reason he gave me a B. WTF??? i should give him a B. HE never shows up on time. sheesh...

because i am super bored and my friends are all busy i might take a trip down to portland. i have to housesit for awhile and then i might come down for a few days if that's okay. i need more contact info from zach. maybe i should e-mail him about that huh? well i am off to a weird summer if anything. i got my brother to go outside for once we planted brussel sprouts and acorn sqash and watered the garden and weeded and whatnot. it was pretty cool. kickboxing is kicking my ass. my arms are going to be ripped though. i am totally going to be able to kick anyone;s ass. i am kinda lonely in this sea of screens and zoned out people though. maybe when i have my own house for a little more than a week (housesitting) not really to my self. (a dog and three cats. her house is cool thogh. big garden and a hot tub. so that could be cool. i think i will go beat things with sticks. lata peeps.

Ari, you forgot to mention how fly your wombat friend is with his shaggy beard, and his all around Minnesota lumberjack sex appeal. ---anyway... I am in good old north plainfield NJ now. Living at home. Rachel, i feel your pain. i am also being driven crazy by my mother... already. But i am keeping busy, so it's cool. It looks like a large portion of my summer will be taken up by trying to fix my garage, which is sort of collapsing really slowly. Hopefully, one of these days it will stop raining so that i can get a full day of work in. Perhaps the northeast and the northwest switched climates this summer. I guess then i have to take a road trip out there to get my weather back. It's as good an excuse as any. I have been occupying my spare time wandering around town aimlessly with friends, hacking, playing basketball, compiling a ridiculously long letter to Emily which will never be done and starting political arguments with my dad in which he takes the "conservative" positions i take while at Knox (except when debating Drew), and I take the leftist positions crammed down my throat at Knox. It's good fun. I am quite glad to see that you made the flight, Zach. I was worried. Sounds like you might have the best summer lined up out of all of us. Three months in a new city sharing a cool apartment with friends: i am very jealous.
If those bastards do anything to our couch, we'll make them eat thier hat.

well, i'm in the Townhouse for the summer. Craig had originally put me in C, but the two of us had a little "talk" and he saw the light ;-) i'll be in room 13, and i really don't know which that is. i'll let you know whose room i shall be occupying for the summer! i move in on Friday-- with all the food people have left, Adam's extra stuff, and both Drew 2 couches in addition to my half one! wish me luck with that... i think Justin will be taking the lighter of the two Drew ones for his townhouse... if there are objections to this, raise them now. if i find out the other people in his townhouse are going to destroy it, i shall step in. i know Don Burt will be there, Justin's roommate is some guy named Stan (Christina, do you know something about this?), and i don't know about the rest of the people yet. i'll keep you posted.
hey! i'm at the 41-person mark for the survey! Adam, Christina, and Zach, when are you going to send me people? come on now. Rachel's given me tons of names...
ahhhh, too bad i can't have a kitchen in my building, or a bath... but hey, now i don't have to move twice :)
Lana & Susannah are going to come over tonight to see LA Confidential, and hopefully some other people, too. it sounds like i'll be living with people this summer who want to do stuff together. right now we're all so far apart in our own evacuated buildings that we're really eager to do anything with anybody for interaction. (oh yes, anything!) but seriously, it gets a little lonely in this building with none of you here... who wants to come back to school now??

heheheheeee ... fun times, moving people. anyway, speaking of weather, there was a forecast for snow before my uncle's wedding on saturday (it ended up being sunny but chiiiiiilly). today as i was walking around denver, it was 87 degrees. weirdness. but nice, because it's actually like summer. i'm having a hella good time hanging out at my cousin's apartment this week, too. hooray for regained independence (i love my parents, but i'm just not used to them being around me all the time ... and my mom drives me nuts way too often). so yeah. matt's brother's wedding this saturday (at the same place as my uncle's, strangely enough). then back to iowa to try to find a job. damn barnes & noble for pretending (again) that they'd give me a summer job. but if all goes well, i'll have a chance to visit at least a couple people. hmmm ... if anyone happens to be going through iowa on the way, i'll visit you with them, christina!

that applies to anyone who wishes to come. just let me know and you are welcome.

when are you going to visit me zach. anytime. come visit.
