Emily, I hope your Mom's care package threat won't preclude her from sending on the letter I mailed to you. Right after sending it I realized that you were likely in the midst of heading to IL. I hope you are waiting on the edge of your seat!

Drew, I have my fingers crossed for you. I have confidence that your grades will be fine, but I know what the waiting is like. Most of my grades were in a month ago, but I'm still waiting to hear from one delinquent professor. You might also be interested to hear that Matt and his little brother are running a marathon here on Sunday. I think they're nuts. I'll be wishing them luck at the starting line, going home to read, and then coming back at the end to cheer and take pictures of them collapsing over the finish line. :)

Things are going well here. Classes started on Monday, and I'm the biggest language nerd ever. All three classes are related to language. I love it. I'm busy as all get out (so much reading!), but it's completely worth it. I found out last week that I might be spending my summer in Barcelona, doing research with my advisor. Score! It means a fieldwork-based masters thesis, too, which will be a good deal more interesting than spending my summer living in the library and working on a lit-based thesis. Nothing set in stone yet, but the chances are good.

Emily, I'm glad you and Pete are shacked up. Nothing beats a good companion. Damn it, I need me a woman. Sorry, I am a silly ass :) But seriously though, is your Mom really acting like that? It would be a shame if she did. If it is true, then tell me and I will send you and Pete a care package damn it! I hope all is well with everyone and that thing progress smoothly in your lives. I find out my grades on Wednesday of next week. Hope and/or pray for me, please.

for anyone not already in the know, i am officially living in sin with Pete in Urbana til i go to Utah. Mom says she might not be able to send me care packages anymore. heh. i'm trying to get a job subbing... so far i'm just learning a lot about how not to get the kiddies sick. i'm also looking for a pair of hardcore hiking boots, blowing my nose a lot becuase of a dem cold, ice skating, and dreading the day the wisdom teeth are to be pulled (and the ungodly bills start coming). *fear*
